FREELANCER
EXPECTATIONS
DNA Studios contracts with freelancers in over 40 states.
Below are some basic guidelines and expectations but not limited to:
-
Confirm your rate and position BEFORE show day.
-
No Show: If you cannot show up to work, immediately contact us with a REPLACEMENT (crew who is willing and able to fill in for you). We will determine if we will use your replacement, but have them on standby BEFORE you notify us you cannot work.
-
Arrive BEFORE the designated crew call to make sure you have time to park and get credential. Notify if you will be late.
-
Dress appropriately. No open-toe shoes, no offensive apparel. Wear clean clothes. (We work in tight spaces). Wearing "SHOW BLACK" is always a good idea. [Black shirt and black pants black shoes]
-
No smoking within 50 ft of work area. Smoking/vaping is prohibited on high school property.
-
No drugs or alcohol in the work area or in your vehicle.
-
Bring gloves, tools or anything else required to do your job.
-
Whatever you take off the TV truck, YOU make sure to put back on the tv truck.
-
Any non-working items must be handed to the EIC, not put back on the truck.
-
EIC is in charge, follow directions. Ask questions if you do not fully understand.
-
Everyone is required to strike. Be careful with the equipment, it is expensive. If it doesn't attach or detach easily don't force it. Ask for help.

Safety: Our #1 priority.
-
You are required to stay safe during the setup, during and tear down of the event. If you do not believe you are safe please immediately notify EIC or tech manager.
