DNA was founded in 2005 by Sam Schrade and began in a small upstairs game room in Humble Texas. What started as a small media development company has grown into an experienced broadcast and mobile television company.

DNA currently has 10 full-time employees and over 250 contractors coast to coast. Assets include a new two-story broadcast facility, 2 tv studios, 7 mobile trucks, and one satellite uplink truck.

"We are delighted to receive this great designation," said Schrade, who graduated from Stratford High School in Houston, Texas, and then received his diploma from Texas Tech University. "I remember when I started the company with nothing but an idea. This success is definitely an American dream come true. I want to thank my wife Casey, our employees, and clients for believing in us. I also want to thank all the people that got us here: our bankers, attorneys, and accountants that handle the important stuff while I was busy building the company."

DNA is best known for its technical innovation and experience. TV network clients include ESPN, CBS Sports, Turner Sports, ATT Sportsnet, Bally's Sports, Fox Sports, Nasa-TV, and many more.

DNA's first tv truck was a 53' expando with all analog equipment. "Those were the days," explained Schrade, "We learned so much in those early years. We are so grateful to the CEOs of the big truck companies that really took us under their wings and encouraged me along the way."

Today's tv trucks and studios look a lot different and DNA is leading the way in innovative designs and workflows. From college football, MMA on UFC Fightpass, to an Astros exhibition game, DNA Studios is ready to accept any broadcast challenges for their clients.

DNA's recent growth has come at a time when the entire sports media landscape is rapidly changing. Inc. 5000 has DNA placed at No. 1926 (2023) 291% 3-Year Growth.

What is the Inc. 5000?

Inc. 5000 ranks companies by overall revenue growth over a three-year period.

In 1982, Inc. magazine introduced the Inc. 500 list of the fastest-growing privately held companies in the United States. Since then, this prestigious list of the nation's most successful private companies has become the hallmark of entrepreneurial success and the place where future household names first make their mark. Pandora, 7-Eleven, Toys 'R' Us, Zipcar, Zappos.com, and numerous other well-known brands have been honored by the Inc. 5000. In 2007, the Inc. 500 list expanded to the Inc. 5000, giving readers a deeper, richer understanding of the entrepreneurial landscape and capturing a broader spectrum of success.

Today, the list is a distinguished editorial award, a celebration of innovation, a network of entrepreneurial leaders, and an effective public relations showcase. The Inc. 5000 ranks companies by overall revenue growth over a three-year period. All 5,000 honoree companies are individually profiled on Inc.com. The top 500 are featured in the September issue of Inc.magazine, the leading entrepreneurial advocate for 44 years running. Inc. also ranks the fastest-growing companies by industry, metro area, revenue, and number of employees, and we also highlight women and minority-run companies.

All of the following must be true of your company in order to qualify for the 2023 Inc. 5000. Your company must:

  1. Have generated revenue by March 31, 2019

  2. Have generated at least $100,000 in revenue in 2019

  3. Have generated at least $2 million in revenue in 2022

  4. Be privately held, for-profit; based in the U.S., and independent (not a subsidiary or division of another company).
